SmartSheep - Kids Privacy Policy

Last updated: December 16, 2025

1. Introduction

SmartSheep ("App") is a learning game designed for use by children under the guidance of teachers, schools, or parents. This App is provided by Infosha Game Labs LLC ("we", "us", "our"), located in the United States, California.

We take children's privacy seriously. This privacy policy explains what information the App uses, what is sent to our servers (if anything), and how we comply with children’s privacy requirements such as the Google Play Families Policy and the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Summary: SmartSheep is designed to minimize data collection. We do not collect personal information from children, we do not use advertising, and we do not use analytics.

You can also read our SmartSheep Terms of Use and License Agreement (EULA) here: https://infoshagame.com/kids-terms/

2. COPPA & Child-Directed Service Notice

SmartSheep is directed to children under 13. We are committed to complying with COPPA and other applicable children’s privacy laws.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If SmartSheep’s features change in the future in a way that requires collecting personal information, we will update this policy and, where required, obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting it.

3. No Personal Information Collected from Children

We do not knowingly collect, store, or share personal information from children using SmartSheep.

In particular, the App:

4. Class Codes and Game Progress

To play SmartSheep, a child may enter a class code provided by a teacher, school, or parent. The class code is used solely to load the appropriate game content or difficulty settings.

The class code:

The App may store basic game progress locally on the device (for example, which levels are unlocked). This data is stored only on the child's device and is not linked to personal information.

5. Server and Database Usage (No Child Progress Stored)

SmartSheep operates backend infrastructure (including a server and database) to support App functionality, such as delivering non-personal game content or class-based settings.

No personal information and no learning progress data from children is stored on our servers. Learning and progress data (if any) remains on the child’s device.

SmartSheep’s server infrastructure is hosted by a third-party hosting provider solely to operate the service. We do not permit our hosting provider to use any information for advertising, profiling, or analytics.

6. Internet Connectivity and Technical Logs

SmartSheep may connect to our servers to download non-personal game content or settings associated with a class code (for example, which decks or difficulty are available for that class).

When this happens:

7. No Third-Party Ads, Tracking, or Analytics

The SmartSheep kids App is free and does not contain third-party advertising.

The App also:

We do not use cookies in the App. (If you view this policy on our website, the website hosting platform may use standard technical logs to deliver the page.)

8. How We Use Non-Personal Information

To the extent we receive non-personal information (for example, anonymous technical logs related to security and reliability), we may use it to:

Any such information is handled in a way that does not allow us to identify a child.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Because we do not collect personal information from children through the App, we do not maintain personal profiles for child users.

Game progress data stored on the device will normally remain there until the App is uninstalled or the device's app data is cleared by the user, parent, or device owner.

Server security/reliability logs (if generated) are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for security and operational purposes, and then deleted or de-identified.

If you believe that your child has provided us with personal information by mistake, please contact us using the details below so we can investigate and delete the data if applicable.

10. Parents' Rights and Control

If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that we may have unintentionally collected personal information from your child, you have the right to:

To exercise these rights, please contact us using the contact information in the "Contact Us" section below.

11. International Users (GDPR-K and Other Regions)

SmartSheep may be used globally. Some regions (including the European Union) provide additional protections for children. Where applicable, parents may have the right to request access, deletion, or other controls over information.

Because SmartSheep is designed not to collect children’s personal information, these requests are typically limited to confirming that no personal data is held by us or addressing any accidental collection.

12. Links to Other Services

The SmartSheep kids App is designed not to include external links that take a child out of the App to the open internet or to external stores, social networks, or websites. If this changes in the future, we will design any such links to remain compliant with children’s privacy and relevant store policies.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our App or in applicable laws and regulations. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Any material changes that affect how we handle children's information will be implemented in accordance with applicable law and relevant app store requirements.
